Free Truck Driver Recruiting Website Attracts Scores of Drivers and Truck Driving Jobs

America's Driver Job List announces its nationwide directory of driver jobs.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- In the wake of a tremendous truck driver shortage, America's Driver Job List Inc. announces the launch of the first website designed to promote the profession by illuminating the vast number and variety of great truck driving jobs that are available across the United States. This free site - www.driverjoblist.com - is designed to improve the appeal of the industry by offering both current and prospective truck drivers an unbiased view of the diverse trucking opportunities that the industry has to offer.

To ensure that the site maintains a robust inventory of driver and transportation support openings, it allows carriers to post jobs at no cost. Since its inception in June of 2014, the site has grown to more than 30,000 jobs nationwide and is showing no signs of slowing down.

One of the key features of the new site is that it allows drivers to "Request a Call" from the carriers of their choosing. After providing their basic background information, interested candidates can send a confidential email to prospective employers expressing their interest in the opportunity and requesting that the carrier give them a call to discuss their qualifications.

"We find that by allowing drivers to simply request a call from carriers, rather than dialing a number and reaching an automated system or busy recruiter, we can increase the number of actual connections between candidates and driver recruiters. Furthermore, we find that when those connections are made they are more likely to end in a favorable outcome than calls initiated by the candidate. In short, drivers are far more inclined to request a call than to make a call," says Kevin Hayes, a moderator at the job board. The system does, however, also allow driver recruiters to display their phone number in the job posting as an additional method of contact for candidates who prefer to be more proactive.

Another key feature of the site, in comparison to other truck driver recruiting sites, is that it is unbiased, not allowing any display advertising. It is essential that drivers be able to view the job openings without being inundated with pushy advertisements and flashy banners. "You won't see a lot of colorful ads jumping out at you, just lots and lots of truck driver jobs," according to Mr. Hayes.

The site offers free job postings to all carriers. Users of www.driverjoblist.com will immediately notice the ease and simplicity of posting jobs on the site in comparison to other driver job boards. In addition to the "Request a Call" feature, recruiters can also display their phone number, their company logo and even a link to their own website and/or online application. Once the job is added to the site it must be approved by a moderator before it goes live. Currently the approval process takes 2-4 hours, up from the time it took when the site first launched. The increased process time is due to the growing number of job postings. Additional staff is currently being added in order to keep up with the increasing demand.

"It is our goal to attract more new drivers into the industry by showcasing the tremendous variety of exceptional truck driving jobs that are available. There are a lot of great companies out there, with impressive job opportunities. America's Driver Job List gives a much more comprehensive view of the excellent openings that the industry has to offer than other job boards do," says Mr. Hayes. "We hope that by being a free repository where driver jobs are readily available, we can improve the overall satisfaction level of the driving profession."
