American Solar Direct 17th Fastest Growing Private Company in U.S. - INC Magazine

American Solar Direct (ASD), a leading residential solar energy provider in California, is the 17th fastest growing private company in the United States, according to the latest list compiled by Inc. magazine and published in its September 2014 issue.

ASD’s revenue growth between 2010 and 2013, the period examined in the Inc. 500 “America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies” report, was 11,560 percent. During this period, ASD experienced significant expansion within California with the opening of multiple offices and operation centers throughout the state and by offering residential customers complete residential solar solutions.

“Our growth is a testament to our commitment to customer service, an outstanding team of employees and our ability to deliver a comprehensive end-to-end solution to residential customers,” stated American Solar Direct CEO Brennan Mulcahy. “We continue to be an ideal choice for homeowners who want to take more control over their electric bills with little to no up-front payment.”

ASD, the highest placed solar system provider on the Inc. 500 list, has been well positioned in the exploding U.S. solar market. The U.S. experienced a 41 percent increase in photovoltaic (PV) installations in 2013, making solar the second largest source of new electricity generating capacity (behind natural gas), according to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). SEIA’s current projections forecast 2014 to be another record-breaking year.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the country, ASD has enabled a surge of employment opportunities and provides its employees with a comprehensive training program that ensures seamless, quality installations and friendly service for customers.

“I want to thank all the hardworking, dedicated employees for helping us achieve this important milestone and helping create so many job opportunities in California and for the solar industry,” Mulcahy said.

The Inc. milestone was announced shortly after Solar Power World Magazine – one of the solar industry’s leading sources for technology, development and installation news – published its annual ranking, in which ASD had improved its ranking among solar contractors in the U.S. and Canada by 10 spots from the prior year. This survey also recognized ASD as number eight on their rooftop installer list out of 100 solar companies.
